Orange has opened its IoT digital platform, Orange Smart Energies, to energy suppliers in Africa and the Middle East in order to improve energy inclusion and reduce non-payment from customers. The platform, which is currently used by 300,000 households, allows suppliers to track equipment and take payments through Orange Money. This move is part of Orange’s commitment to universal access to energy in the region.
