Japan has created a new virtual assistant toy called the Gatebox, which is an anime version of Amazon’s Alexa. The Gatebox is a little virtual woman in a box who is designed to be the perfect companion for those who live alone. She has blue hair, a mini skirt, and knee-high socks and her main goal is to “do all she can just for the owner”. Azuma, the Gatebox, has her own personality and likes donuts, hates bugs, is 20 years old, and her dream is “to become a heroine to help people who are working hard”.
