This article discusses a study that aims to develop a model using data mining techniques to identify variables that contribute to the outcome of cure or death in patients with leptospirosis. The study uses a secondary database provided by the Department of Health of the State of Pará, Brazil and is exempt from review by the Ethics Committee. The data collected from 1,319 cases of leptospirosis in the state of Pará from 2007 to 2017 will be used to train and evaluate the model.
