Microsoft’s cloud-hosted data lake and lakehouse platform, Microsoft Fabric, provides a common data layer across the enterprise, bringing together data from many different sources and providing one place to query that data. The initial preview releases of Microsoft Fabric were focused on building out the data lakehouses and data lakes, and now the platform has added data science tools, allowing users to access Power BI datasets with Python, R, and SparkSQL. This allows users to build complex applications on top of their data, and provides a platform for data-driven decision-making.
