The cold start problem is a challenge in big data and artificial intelligence, where a lack of data can hinder the performance of recommender systems and machine learning models. Climax CEO Oliver Zahn was familiar with this problem and wanted to use AI to build a future food company. He knew that the challenge of building a dataset to find new and promising building blocks in the world of plants would be his biggest hurdle.
