Perplexity, a conversational search engine, has been accused of breaking copyrights and misrepresenting stolen work. The AI company has been accused of stealing content and adapting it for its own use without proper sourcing. This has led to a lot of mistakes in its summaries and current events. Additionally, Wired has accused Perplexity of breaking a widely held internet rule, the Robots Exclusion Protocol, which allows developers to specify which parts of their site are off-limits to bots.
