DuckDuckGo, a privacy-oriented Internet browser, has announced that it will allow users to access AI-powered chatbots for free. This new policy aims to enhance users’ privacy by directing chatbot requests through DuckDuckGo’s IP address instead of the user’s. The chatbots, including OpenAI’s GPT 3.5 Turbo and Anthropic’s Claude 3 Haiku, have a daily limit on prompts and chats are automatically deleted within 30 days. However, some chatbots may store chats temporarily for model maintenance.
