Scarlett Johansson took legal action after turning down OpenAI’s offer to voice their chatbot, which was eerily similar to her own voice. The company had hired a voice actress months before approaching Johansson, and the actress’s agent denies any mention of her or the movie Her during the hiring process. Johansson was approached by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman in September 2023, but turned down the opportunity.
