A new study from Carnegie Mellon University shows that people with autism are using chatbots like ChatGPT for help and advice in the workplace. However, the study also found that the advice given by these chatbots can be questionable and there is debate within the autism community about their use. The research team, led by Andrew Begel, found that users preferred the chatbot over a disguised human career counselor, not because of the quality of advice, but because of the way it was given.
