Apple is reportedly in talks with Chinese web giant Baidu to integrate its machine-learning technology into iPhones sold in China. This move would allow Apple to bolster its AI ambitions in the country, but may run into obstacles due to Chinese regulations. Baidu’s ERNIE chat bot, which is self-censoring, is already being used by Samsung in their Galaxy smartphones sold in China.
