Apple is reportedly in talks with Baidu to integrate its machine learning technology into iPhones sold in China. This move could face obstacles due to Chinese regulations on third-party models. Baidu’s ERNIE chatbot, which is self-censoring, is already used by Samsung in its Galaxy smartphones sold in China. Apple has previously avoided using the term AI in its marketing, instead opting for machine learning.
