Sheikh is the CEO of Scifn and an adjunct professor teaching graduate-level machine learning. He applied to register the trademark INSTAMINT for uses related to financial services on the blockchain. In November 2022, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) notified Sheikh that his trademark was opposed by a professional trademark attorney. Sheikh was able to settle the opposition without spending a dime, demonstrating the potential of AI chatbots to provide legal services.
