Amazon has invested up to $4 billion in Anthropic, a deep learning and AI services company founded by former OpenAI executives. The investment will allow AWS customers to use Anthropic’s AI models via Amazon’s Bedrock service. Anthropic recently unveiled its first consumer-facing chatbot Claude 2, which is guided by 10 “foundational” principals of fairness and autonomy. Anthropic is also working on a chatbot called “Claude-Next” that is supposed to be ten times more powerful than any current AI.
