It peaked in May as the 6th most common search query, but then dropped back to #8 in June and #19 in July. It was the most popular search term related to AI, except for Machine Learning, which held steady. Generative AI also emerged as a popular search term. The public’s fascination with ChatGPT is likely due to its potential to simplify common tasks and its science fiction appeal.
