Google CEO Sundar Pichai has revealed that conversational AI will be an integral part of the company’s search engine. This follows the launch of Microsoft-backed OpenAI’s ChatGPT, which kickstarted a race to integrate such systems in consumer-facing products. Google launched its own chatbot, Bard, earlier this year, but it was met with criticism due to a factual mistake. The Big Tech giant’s parent Alphabet lost $100 billion in market cap due to the mistake.
