Microsoft is reportedly trying to stop potential rivals from using its Bing search data to power their own chatbots. The company has allegedly sent warnings to two search engines, though the report does not name them. Yahoo, which has been using Bing for over a decade, has yet to announce any chatbot features. DuckDuckGo, which does use the Bing API, recently announced the generative AI program DuckAssist, but it gets its answers from Wikipedia. Neeva is another search service that gets some data from Bing.
