Baidu, the Chinese search engine giant, unveiled its AI-powered chatbot Ernie Bot on Thursday, which is seen as a potential rival to OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Ernie Bot is powered by Baidu’s AI-driven deep learning model, and its introduction comes two days after Alphabet’s Google unveiled a flurry of AI tools. The presentation of Ernie Bot was limited to pre-recorded videos, and its capabilities are yet to be seen.
