General Motors Co is exploring the use of ChatGPT, an AI chatbot, as part of its collaboration with Microsoft Corp. ChatGPT could be used to access information on how to use vehicle features, program functions, and integrate schedules from a calendar. GM Vice President Scott Miller said that ChatGPT will be “in everything” and that customers can expect their future vehicles to be far more capable and fresh overall when it comes to emerging technologies. GM is working on a virtual personal assistant that uses AI models behind ChatGPT.
