Dr. Tomas Mikolov, a researcher at Google Research, has developed a technique called Word2Vec which allows words to be represented numerically in a continuous space. This technique has outperformed many state-of-the-art Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks and is still used in many language models today. Dr. Mikolov believes that more complex systems may be needed to reach intelligent language models.
