Confluent Inc. has announced the general availability of its managed service for Apache Flink, a big data processing framework. This service includes a novel AI Model Inference feature for processing real-time streaming data for AI and machine learning applications. Confluent also offers an auto-scaling cluster type for logging and telemetry data. Founded in 2014, Confluent is known for its development of Apache Kafka and its main offering, Confluent Cloud, which is faster and more cost-efficient than traditional Kafka. With the launch of Confluent Platform for Apache Flink, the company adds a managed Flink service to its tools, allowing for real-time data streaming and processing.
