China’s digital economy reached 50.2 trillion yuan ($7 trillion) in 2022, accounting for 41.5% of the country’s GDP. Beijing is focusing on areas like 6G, quantum technology, and blockchain to become a global hub for science, technology, and innovation in the digital economy.
