The Trans-omics for Precision Medicine (TOPMed) program created by the NHLBI has collected an unprecedented volume of high-throughput data from over 194,270 well-phenotyped individuals. This data includes whole genome sequences, RNA sequences, DNA methylation profiles, and metabolomics profiles. TOPMed now seeks to effectively leverage this data to better understand the molecular mechanisms underlying various HLBS diseases, as well as the impact of genetic variation on disease severity and treatment outcomes.
