Ola, an Indian automotive manufacturer, has announced plans to launch the nation’s first in-house AI chip by 2026. The chip will feature edge AI, cloud computing, and inferencing options, and is expected to cater to the rapidly growing market segments in India. Ola’s CEO believes it is important for India to explore the AI segment and not rely on third-party alternatives. The company has also unveiled its lineup of AI chips, including the Bodhi series and the Sarv-1 and Ojas chips.
