The new Automated Vehicles (AV) Act has received Royal Assent, making Britain a world leader in self-driving technology. The law sets out a comprehensive legal framework for self-driving cars, shifting responsibility to car makers, insurance providers, and software developers. This could create 38,000 new jobs and make roads safer by reducing human error. However, there is still work to be done in gaining public acceptance of self-driving cars.
