Tesla CEO Elon Musk redirected Nvidia H100 GPUs intended for the car manufacturer to two private firms he owns, X and xAI, for their GPU cluster deployment. The total value of the redirected order is almost half a billion dollars. Musk explained that Tesla had no use for the chips at the moment, so they would have just sat in a warehouse.
