Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s $44.9 billion pay package is up for a vote at the company’s annual shareholders’ meeting. If approved, Musk will remain at Tesla and continue to lead the company’s shift towards AI and robotics. However, if rejected, Musk has threatened to take his AI research to another company. The package is expected to be reapproved, which will help alleviate uncertainty surrounding Musk’s future at Tesla. Other issues on the shareholder ballot include moving the company’s legal home out of Delaware to Texas.
