Amazon’s self-driving venture, Zoox, is expanding its autonomous vehicle testing program to Austin and Miami, in response to increased regulatory scrutiny and safety concerns. The company aims to leverage the diverse driving environments and unique challenges of these cities to further refine its autonomous driving technology. The testing protocol will involve deploying Zoox’s retrofitted Toyota Highlander test fleet in select areas near business and entertainment districts.
