Early-stage startups Overland AI and Potential are leading the charge in developing autonomous vehicle technology for off-road applications. Overland AI received funding from the U.S. Department of Defense and venture capital investors, while Potential raised a CA$2 million extension to its seed round. Other startups, such as Polymath Robotics and Pronto.ai, are also applying autonomous vehicle technology to off-road environments.
