Baidu, a leading AI company, is considering collaborating with Tesla for their upcoming Robotaxi service in China. Baidu’s Apollo Go currently offers fully driverless robotaxi services in over 10 cities and is operating in more cities than any other robotaxi service. Baidu is also using the same Lidar technology as Waymo. Recently, Baidu announced a significant operation upgrade for Apollo Go, offering 24/7 autonomous driving service in selected areas of Wuhan and becoming the first provider in China to do so.
