Researchers from MIT and Rice University have developed a computer vision system called ORCa (Objects as Radiance-Field Cameras), which uses AI to turn any shiny object into a camera by mapping reflections off its surface. This technology can be used to see around obstructions, such as in autonomous vehicles, and has potential applications in drone imaging.
