Apple has been working on the concept of an Apple Car for at least eight years, investing billions into the project. Reports have surfaced claiming Apple is in negotiations with potential manufacturers to make the Apple Car a reality, with some early reports suggesting a 2024 production run. Analysts have warned the immaturity of self-driving technologies could limit what Apple ultimately offers in its product, or even delay its release. Apple has continued to work on redesigning the concept of the car throughout the period, and it is likely Apple could take things slowly to enter the automobile market, or do so relatively quickly.
