This article explains how KNX Association has released KNX IoT Point API, an open-source software stack based on the Thread Mesh LPWAN wireless standard, to bring benefits to commercial building automation. This new addition to the suite of KNX physical transmission media uses IPv6, making it future-proof and compatible with IT equipment and all common IP physical transports.
