This month, research reports and surveys have shown that interest in virtual and augmented reality is decreasing. An EY Consulting survey revealed that only 24% of people said their company has started using VR and AR technologies, and even among those familiar with VR, only 15% said they wear a VR headset at work. Additionally, a report by IDC showed a 54% decline in global shipments of AR and VR headsets this year. The only growth was in augmented reality displays, such as the Air AR glasses from Xreal, which cost $379 and can project a TV screen or computer monitor into the air in front of you.
