Nigeria has the potential to become a leader in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, using the same strategies that enabled it to become a leader in the telecom industry. To do so, it will need to leverage its abundant human resources, both in-country and in the diaspora, as well as its 160 million youth population. The McKinsey Global Institute estimates that the AI economy will be worth $16 trillion by 2030. With the right intention and strategy, Nigeria can become a leader in this field.
