The Canadian government has launched a new consultation process to address the challenges posed by the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled services. This consultation process will focus on authorship of AI generated content and the use of copyright protected content in the training of AI services. The government is also focusing on the implications of AI for the copyright framework and has proposed a generative AI code of practice. 14 organizations have signed on to demonstrate their commitment to responsible AI.
