Microsoft may be adding OpenAI’s ChatGPT AI question and answer service to Bing Search in the coming months. ChatGPT is built on OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 family of large language models and is fine-tuned with both supervised and reinforcement learning techniques. According to The Information, Microsoft is preparing to launch a version of its Bing search engine that uses the artificial intelligence behind ChatGPT to answer some search queries rather than just showing a list of links. Google may not be in trouble despite reports of “code red” as they have advanced AI and machine learning that can likely do exactly what ChatGPT does already or better.
