The 115th Executive Committee meeting of Uttar Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (UPCST) was convened on October 5th, under the chairmanship of Narendra Bhushan, Chief Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and Director-General of the Uttar Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (UPCST). During this meeting, approval was granted for a total of 109 research proposals, with a total expenditure of Rs 1,409 lakhs. One project approved in this meeting involves the development of an Artificial Intelligence-based, IoT-operated electronic wheelchair with helmet control, specifically designed to cater to differently-abled individuals. Additionally, a research proposal centered on blockchain technology, microcontrollers, and the Internet of Things was approved to harness surplus solar energy, and a research project focused on a real-time posture correction system, employing Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and IoT, was sanctioned to address the issues stemming from prolonged desk work.
