Telefónica is exploring the possibility of selling part of its subsidiary Telefónica Tech, which focuses on cyber security, cloud, internet of things, big data, artificial intelligence and blockchain services. The company has already met with several investment funds to gauge their interest in the subsidiary, which may be valued at around 2,000 million euros. Telefónica is expected to make an announcement about this subsidiary on November 8, at its Investors day. If the operation were to take place, the partial sale of this division would not be immediate. Telefónica Tech’s clients include large multinationals such as Microsoft and Amazon, and it also develops solutions in artificial intelligence.
