India is set to experience a remarkable surge in data centre capacity over the next six years, with investments of Rs 1.6 lakh crore and a favourable regulatory environment. This growth is driven by the rapid growth in data generation, the need for co-location services, and the emergence of new technologies such as cloud computing, 5G, machine learning, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) is also expected to fuel the demand for data centre capacity.
