IIIT Hyderabad has been a pioneer in Artificial Intelligence (AI) research since its establishment. The institute offers AI courses to BTech, MTech, MS and PhD students, with close to half of the MS and PhD thesis being in core AI areas or application of it in other fields. IIIT Hyderabad is also involved with several projects in the broader healthcare area in partnership with the IHub-Data established under the NM-ICPS program by DST and several NGOs and other agencies.
