On August 30th, Hawaii Business Magazine gathered local experts on artificial intelligence to discuss the implications of AI in Hawaii. Through a poll of the audience and panel, it was revealed that most people were more excited than scared about AI. The discussion focused on the use of AI in education, with Mark Hines, director of the Kupu Hou Academy at Mid Pacific, advocating for student-centered learning and giving students meaningful work. The panel also discussed how AI can help synthesize data, generate ideas and handle tedious tasks.
