Data-Driven EnviroLab (DDL) and technology start-up Arboretica have unveiled ChatNetZero, the world’s first climate chatbot powered by large language models (LLMs). The chatbot is designed to act as a fact-checking and ‘anti-greenwashing’ tool, and is trained on the Net Zero Tracker (NZT) database which contains information on more than 4,000 corporate, national, and local government entities and their decarbonisation goals. ChatNetZero is intended to help stakeholders, such as investors, employees, citizens and journalists, to determine the credibility of decarbonisation plans set by businesses, governments, and financial institutions.
