Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being used in health care to improve patient outcomes, free up clinician time, automate processes, and aid clinical insight. However, there are many operational limitations and concerns about privacy, safety, sustainability, transparency, accuracy, and data bias that have slowed its adoption. Nurses are in a position to influence how health care integrates AI, and should consider how AI can support rather than complicate essential nursing care and reduce burnout.
