Amazon has announced plans to invest up to four billion US dollars in the AI startup Anthropic. As part of the agreement, Amazon will have access to Anthropic’s AI models and chatbots, while Anthropic will receive computing power and funding to further develop its AI. Amazon is also securing a minority stake in the company. This partnership is part of Big Tech’s race for leadership in generative AI, and is Amazon’s most high-profile partnership in this space.
