Gartner’s newly released data shows that the global conversational AI/virtual assistant market is the fastest-growing segment of the contact center sector. Grand View Research predicts that AI innovations will propel the market to a compound annual growth rate of 24.3% through 2030. Gartner estimates that around 3% of customer service interactions will be handled via virtual agents. Additionally, near-term investment growth rates for contact centers and conversational AI and virtual assistants will take a breather due to business volatility, but the dip in growth is expected to be brief.
