Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the first-ever two-day Bangladesh Startup Summit-2023 in Dhaka’s Hotel InterContinental. She mentioned that Bangladesh will be a smart country by 2041 and that the young generation is meritorious and have the ability to implement their new innovations. Sheikh Hasina said that her government’s goal is to help create five unicorns by 2025 and 50 unicorn startups by 2041. She urged domestic and foreign investors to invest more in startups and also inaugurated the “Smart Bangladesh accelerator” alongside “India-Bangladesh Startup Bridge” networking platform and “Smart Bangladesh Startup Fund.”
