Vodafone UK is taking steps to reduce plastic pollution and move towards a circular economy on World Environment Day. Vodafone has already removed 100 tonnes of plastic packaging from deliveries to customers and is striving to reach Net Zero carbon emissions for UK operations by 2027. The telco sector produces waste, and Vodafone is committed to reducing the impact this has on the environment. Vodafone is reusing, reselling or recycling 96% of its waste network equipment and has avoided nearly 1,500 tonnes CO2e by re-using equipment across UK sites. An international Asset Marketplace has been created to share and reuse equipment.
