AI is a software system based on neural networks that can think like a human and is being used in various sectors, including call centers. Governments around the world are starting to consider laws to regulate AI, and the Analytics & Artificial Intelligence Association of the Philippines (AAP) is advocating for formal talks to determine how the country can embrace AI and ensure its ethical use. AI has allowed for effective voice and image recognition, as well as the ability to generate synthetic imagery and speech. However, there are concerns that AI-powered chatbots could be used in disinformation campaigns and to displace jobs.
