Amazon (AMZN) is increasingly considered an AI-driven stock due to its competitive advantage in AI deployments through Amazon Web Services (AWS). AI is a significant concern for both its e-commerce and advertising businesses, as consumers can easily bypass some Amazon platforms. AWS holds almost as much market share as the second and third leading providers, Microsoft’s Azure and Alphabet’s Google Cloud, combined. AI and ML technologies are used by over 100,000 AWS customers, and AWS accounted for over $5.1 billion in operating income for Amazon. Amazon also claims Amazon.com “could not grow its business” without ML, as it deploys ML to improve customer experiences and enhance product recommendations.
