Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the new gift of Information Technology (IT) that enables the handling of data with a speed that surpasses the human capacity for collation and analysis. AI is an advanced application of IT that is based on an input-output process, and is enabled by the use of supercomputers that can perform billions or trillions of computations per second. AI is now able to emulate human functions, such as the simulation of voice, looks and personal choices, which can be used for entertainment purposes, but also has the potential to be used for misinformation, fraud and social-media misuse.
